BIODEX WASH - powerful surface treatment for neutralising active mould, fungal and bacterial growth prior to the application of products in the Flexcrete range.

Flexcrete's BIODEX WASH is designed to kill active mould, fungal and bacterial spores and organisms such as moss, lichen and algae, prior to the application of primers, coatings and repair mortars in the Flexcrete range. Unlike many conventional systems, BIODEX WASH remains active after its initial application, guarding against subsequent infection for up to two years. It is supplied in the form of a concentrate.

PREPARATION

Visible areas of growth and associated underlying loose paint or substrate must be removed by wire brush, scraper or mechanical means. On areas of heavy grease contamination, use a proprietary degreasant as instructed on the supplier data sheet.

TREATMENT

Apply BIODEX WASH undiluted by brush, roller or spray to areas exhibiting visible contamination, ensuring that all surfaces are thoroughly wetted. Areas of suspected contamination can be treated with a dilution of 3 parts water to 1 part BIODEX WASH applied as above, as a general washdown. Allow to dry. Brush off any remaining visible dead growths before subsequent treatment with primers, coatings or repair mortars, as described on the individual data sheets.

NOTE:
BIODEX WASH requires up to 7 days to kill algae. If a faster kill is required, then use a bleach solution at a maximum dilution of 7 parts water to 1 part bleach or stronger dependent upon the degree of growth. Wash off bleach solution and remove dead growth by hosing or brushing. Allow to dry before subsequent treatment.

CLEANING

All equipment should be cleaned with water immediately after use.

STORAGE & SHELF LIFE

2 years shelf life if stored in frost free conditions, in original sealed containers away from heat.
